ACHIEVA ONLINE BANKING & MOBILE APP
To enhance your online banking security, we are changing the way you log into your joint account.
On the date the login change is scheduled to start:
New User ID and Password
Alerts and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Things to note before changing your login credentials:
1. When the change to Joint Account Login is rolled out, a message will pop up when you attempt to log into your joint account via Achieva Online Banking or the Achieva Mobile App.
2. You will then need to identify yourself by entering your ATM/Debit Card number or the last four digits of your Social Insurance Number.
3. You will then follow the on-screen instructions to create your new User ID and new password.
4. To complete the setup process, you will need to log into your account using your new User ID and new Password.
5. After logging into your joint account with your new login credentials, you’ll go through a few additional steps to complete the process.
The change to the Joint Account Login process will start on June 5, 2024.
Joint account holders will have until August 5, 2024 to setup their new login credentials.
To change your joint account login, you will need to enter your ATM/Debit Card number or the last 4 digits of your Social Insurance Number to authenticate yourself. If you don’t have either, you can contact us at 204-925-6824 (or toll free within Canada 1-877-224-4382) for assistance.
Your Social Insurance Number (SIN) is unique to you and will help us authenticate that it is you changing the login credentials to your account. To protect your SIN, you will only be asked to enter the last 4 digits, which we will compare to the SIN that we have on file.
You can also enter your ATM/Debit Card number to authenticate yourself during the new login process, since your card number is also unique to you.
Joint account holders do not have to change their login at the same time.
• Before the deadline: any joint account holder will be able to select “Setup Later” and continue to log in as usual.
• After the deadline: if not already done, joint account holders will need to will need to create their new login credentials in order to log into the joint account.
If a joint account holder does not log into to Achieva Online Banking or the Mobile App before the deadline to change the login credentials, they will be prompted to create a new User ID and a new Password when they attempt to log in using their account number.
We are starting the new login process with joint accounts only at this time.
Each of your joint accounts must have a unique User ID.
The User ID will replace the account number that you currently use to log into your joint account.
As a best practice, all of your accounts should have a unique Password that is not easily guessed.
Unique, strong passwords are your best defense against online fraud.
This change is part of our ongoing commitment to enhance security and authentication measures to protect access to your account and financial information. This change is also an important step in providing personalized service that aligns with the evolving landscape of digital banking. We believe this change will improve your overall experience and enable us to provide you with higher quality service.
Advance notification of the upcoming change to the joint account login process will be provided in Achieva Online Banking prior to the rollout. If we have an email address on file, the primary customer on the joint account will receive email notification of the upcoming change and the rollout date.
If you attempt to log into your joint account in the future, you will need to complete the new login process including creating a new User ID and a new Password.
New User ID and Password
Each joint account holder will need to create a new User ID and a new Password. Once created, you will log in with your User ID (instead of your account number) and your new Password.
New Authentication ID
As part of our added security measures, each joint account holder will need to create a new Authentication ID. We will ask you for this ID whenever you contact us for assistance with your joint account.
